Saw this sign today, outside a set of Units in Girrawheen.
"Peppermint Grove" - Girrawheen... The New North

(Sydney translation: "Mosman"- Cabramatta... The New West)

ok i'm sorry but that is just RIDICULOUS, some nerve girrawheen has. do they even have peppermint trees. ok its just like so wrong i can't even express my anger at the distastefulness. you can't just like label a place. wow... its not even a grove or peppermint trees, like whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhy would they do that... do they have a river flowing by?
ok wow.

and isn't it kinda like..?
"Frenchs Forrest"- cronulla... the new south. if it were sydney.

reply to maz:

Cronulla is part of "The Shire" though, isnt it?

That would make it more like the Sorrento-to-Joondalup area than Girrawheen.
